Strikes on Russia’s energy sector are not just attacks, but responses to Russia’s actions <\/p>\n
After the global energy crisis, Ukraine received signals from some partners about reducing retaliatory strikes on Russia’s oil sector.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in comments to journalists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Recently, after the global energy crisis, we received signals from some of our partners on how to reduce our responses to the Russian oil energy sector,” the president said.<\/p>\n Zelensky emphasized that if Russia is willing not to attack Ukrainian energy, Ukraine will not respond with strikes on their energy.<\/p>\n “We are ready to talk, you remember, about any ceasefire. A complete ceasefire. A total ceasefire. An energy ceasefire. A ceasefire regarding food security and energy, that is, both sea and sky. Completely – so that neither missiles nor drones fly. Not to strike at infrastructure. We have proposed all this. And we are open. If the Russians are ready – please, we are ready. Let them propose any time – we are ready to resolve this issue,” the head of state noted.<\/p>\n He also added that Ukraine continues to discuss the situation with Middle Eastern partners, particularly regarding the exchange of prisoners and the return of Ukrainian children taken to Russia, through the mediation of Qatar.<\/p>\n “Therefore, regarding the issue of Russia’s war against Ukraine and its consequences: we are certainly discussing all of this. For us, this is a priority,” Zelensky concluded.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Ukraine’s attacks on Russia<\/p>\n Recall that on the night of March 29, drones attacked the Leningrad region of Russia, causing a fire at the “Ust-Luga” port.<\/p>\n This is one of the largest ports in Russia on the Baltic Sea and a key hub for the export of Russian petroleum products.<\/p>\n Similar attacks have occurred before: on the night of March 27, unknown drones also attacked oil ports in “Ust-Luga” and “Primorsk.”<\/p>\n Earlier, on March 25, a fire had already broken out at the “Ust-Luga” port following a drone attack.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Strikes on Russia’s energy sector are not just attacks, but responses to Russia’s actions.
