The U.S. State Department has announced a $25 million aid package for programs aimed at the return and rehabilitation of Ukrainian children forcibly deported by Russia.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The first is directly tracking deported children<\/strong>. The second is projects to support the Ukrainian government and trusted local partners in rehabilitation<\/strong> of those who have been successfully returned.<\/p>\n U.S. Position<\/p>\n The State Department noted that the U.S. continues to fund dozens of programs to assist civilians affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n “President Trump has made it clear that the tragic bloodshed in Ukraine must end, and his administration remains fully committed to achieving lasting peace,” the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Recall that U.S. First Lady Melania Trump wrote a “letter of peace” to Vladimir Putin in August 2025, urging action regarding Ukrainian children taken by the Russian occupying administration.
