The president emphasized that the lack of progress on the front in Ukraine effectively signifies defeat for Russia.<\/p>\n
According to him, most negotiations are based on the idea that Russia is advancing while Ukraine is retreating, and Moscow often succeeds in imposing this narrative.<\/p>\n
“And, unfortunately, Moscow is very good at selling this discourse to the United States,” he said.<\/p>\n
Zelensky also revealed the record losses of Russia. The president noted that at the beginning of the war, the ratio was about one to three.<\/p>\n
“In the second half of 2025 and in January and February 2026, Russia lost six soldiers for every Ukrainian soldier lost, and in some areas – eight.<\/strong> They are currently losing an alarming number of people – 30-35 thousand people a month<\/strong>,” the president stated.<\/p>\n Zelensky revealed the loss ratio in the war (source: infographic RBC-Ukraine)<\/p>\n The Ukrainian leader also predicted whether the Kremlin would decide to initiate large-scale mobilization.<\/p>\n “Will they decide to go for a large mobilization? I can’t say. So far, they have been afraid of such steps and have only been contracting people for large sums of money,” he explained.<\/p>\n Volodymyr Zelensky also explained why Ukraine reacts so sensitively to the lifting of sanctions on Russia and Belarus.<\/p>\n “Because it’s money. And money is not just tanks. No one fights with tanks anymore. Money is drones. Money is people. People are contracts.
