Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia attempted to blackmail the US by offering to cease intelligence sharing with Iran in exchange for stopping the transfer of American intelligence information to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

According to the head of state, Ukrainian intelligence has data indicating the continuation of cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.<\/p>\n
“I have reports from our intelligence services showing that Russia is doing this and saying: ‘I will not share intelligence with Iran if America stops sharing intelligence with Ukraine.’ Isn’t this blackmail? Absolutely,” Zelensky emphasized.<\/p>\n
The president also stated that some Iranian drones used to attack US military facilities and their allies during the war in the Middle East contained Russian components.<\/p>\n
He reminded that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has been constantly facing attacks from Iranian Shahed drones, which Russia actively uses against Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.<\/p>\n
At the same time, he noted that Ukraine is already assisting several countries in the Persian Gulf, particularly Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, in countering drone attacks on their territories.<\/p>\n
Zelensky also expressed hope that long-term agreements could be reached with some countries in the region. According to him, these agreements could help finance the production of Ukrainian interceptor drones or the purchase of necessary air defense missiles.<\/p>\n
Russia is helping Iran in the war<\/p>\n
Recall that in early March, The Washington Post reported that Russia was providing Iran with information about the locations of American military facilities in the Middle East.<\/p>\n
Initially, Washington tried to downplay the significance of these reports, claiming that they supposedly do not affect the situation since Iranian forces had already been “defeated.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
At the same time, US Special Representative Steve Witkoff mentioned that Vladimir Putin denied such accusations during a conversation with Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, Trump himself suggested that “Russia is helping Iran a little.”<\/p>\n
