Otherwise, their pension may be suspended.<\/p>\n<p>This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the social networks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Also read: In April, millions of Ukrainians will receive an additional 1,500 hryvnias: who will get the money and how it will be credited<br \/>\nWho it concerns and why it is important<\/p>\n<p>This applies to pensioners who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>previously lived in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine;<\/li>\n<li>have gone abroad (or have been there for an extended period);<\/li>\n<li>have not yet confirmed to the Pension Fund that they are not receiving a pension from Russian authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Without this confirmation, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has no legal grounds to continue payments, as <strong>there is a risk of double pension provision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>What deadlines have been set by the government<\/p>\n<p>Initially, the notification had to be submitted by December 31, 2025. However, due to objective circumstances, many people were unable to do this.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, in February 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the deadline &#8211; until the end of March 2026. <strong>The last day is April 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If a pensioner does not submit the notification by this date, their pension payment may be suspended until confirmation is received.<\/p>\n<p>Three ways to submit the notification<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pension Fund offer three options:<\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>Remotely through the Pension Fund&#8217;s web portal<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Log into your personal account on the Pension Fund&#8217;s web portal.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the &#8220;Remote Information&#8221; section.<\/li>\n<li>Check the box next to the line: &#8220;I do not receive a pension in another country, in particular, from the pension authorities of the Russian Federation.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the fastest way &#8211; it does not require additional documents and takes just a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>During a video call with the Pension Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you do not have access to your personal account, you can confirm the information during video identification. You need to pre-register for a video call session. Detailed instructions are available on the official website of the Pension Fund.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>By mail<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Send an application for the resumption of payments to the territorial office of the Pension Fund (where your pension case is located).<\/li>\n<li>Attach to the application: a document confirming that the person is alive and a handwritten message stating that they are not receiving a pension from Russian authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Send it by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt to have confirmation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recall that starting March 1, 2026, minimum pension payments for the families of deceased and missing defenders in Ukraine have increased.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, the minimum pension for each non-working family member of a deceased defender is now at least 12,810 UAH (previously it was 7,800 UAH). For families where pensions are assigned to two or more family members, the minimum payment has increased to 10,020 UAH.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, in 2026, the requirements for insurance experience for retirement have changed. To receive payments at 60 years old, one must have at least 33 years of experience; at 63 years old &#8211; 23 years; and at 65 years old &#8211; 15 years. If necessary, experience can be &#8220;purchased&#8221; for periods after 2004.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the Pension Fund of Ukraine warned that some citizens might not receive their pension in January 2026 due to technical reasons or failure to provide the necessary documents.
